1990 Ford Taurus Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1990 Taurus. Eight recalls stand on the federal record. They include air bag inflators with threaded parts damaged during assembly, which can separate on deployment and vent hot gas into the cabin; an autolamp light sensor module with the wrong transistor, which can switch the headlamps off while driving; and wheels with center cracks that could let the rim separate. Complaints lodged with NHTSA total 522, clustering on engine and engine cooling, structure and steering.
