Known issues on the 2006 Taurus. Three recalls are on federal record. A hands-free phone harness fitted for one fleet customer omitted the passenger air bag deactivation indicator circuits, so the air bag warning stays on; the wiper motor may lack grease on its output shaft gear, which can distort or fracture after long high-speed use; and aftermarket front brake pads can damage the brake disc.
