1987 Ford Taurus Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1987 Ford Taurus is written for two naturally aspirated gasoline engines, the 2.5L OHV inline-four and the 3.0L OHV V6, installed in the four-door sedan and the four-door wagon. Four trims are listed, GL, L, LX and MT5, and the book applies to all of them. It sets out procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for the inline-four and the V6 separately, and it distinguishes the sedan from the wagon wherever the two bodies call for different steps or figures.

Owners have logged 323 complaints with NHTSA, led by the electrical system, followed by engine and engine cooling and the body structure. Wiring diagrams for the electrical system and procedures and torque values for the fuel lines, rear spindles and front struts are all in the manual.
