1985 Ford F-250 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1985 F-250. Two recalls are on federal record for the 1985 F-250. The first traces to metal burrs and sharp edges on fuel rails that could damage adjacent O-ring seals during assembly, leaving the engine to leak fuel while running; the second covers trucks built without the nose shield on the midship fuel tank, which failed the federal fuel-system-integrity impact test. Owners have filed 34 complaints with NHTSA, led by nine on the electrical system, five on the service brakes and four on the engine and cooling.
