Known issues on the 2022 4500. The federal record shows 4 recalls for the 2022 4500. Certain 2022 Ram 4500 trucks with the 6.7L turbo diesel had an engine control module possibly built with a misaligned capacitor; a short could cut internal communication and drive power, and dealers replaced the module. Certain diesel trucks could suffer a short in the heater grid relay and catch fire with the ignition on or off, and owners were told to park outside until repaired.
