Known issues on the 2019 4500. Seven recalls affect the 2019 4500. Certain 2019 Ram 4500 trucks with the 6.7L turbo diesel could suffer a failed high-pressure fuel pump and stall without warning; dealers replaced the pump and updated software. Certain trucks were fitted with rear brake hoses whose inner diameter might be too narrow, risking a rupture and lost braking. Certain trucks with the High Output 6.7L could run short of oil film on the connecting rod bearings during warmup, damaging the engine and possibly puncturing the block.
