Known issues on the 2018 4500. The 2018 4500 has 6 recalls on the federal record. Certain 2018 Ram 4500 cab chassis trucks had brake hoses between the master cylinder and the hydraulic control unit whose ferrules might lack corrosion plating; corroded ferrules could leak fluid and reduce braking. On certain trucks the hydraulic control unit itself could fail, disabling anti-lock braking and stability control. Certain trucks with a column shifter could shift out of park without the brake.
