2017 Ram 4500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2017 4500. The federal record for the 2017 4500 counts seven recalls. On certain 2017 Ram 4500 trucks, the brake hydraulic control unit could fail and take the anti-lock brakes, stability control and traction control down with it; dealers replaced the unit or its motor. Certain trucks with a column shifter could have the brake shift interlock stick open. Certain 2017 Ram 4500 trucks also had a published lug nut torque figure set too high; over-tightened nuts could snap a stud and free a wheel.
