Known issues on the 2013 4500. The 2013 4500 carries 9 recalls in the federal record. Certain 2013 Ram 4500 trucks with the 6.7L turbo diesel received Concentric-brand water pumps lacking a vent hole, and such a pump could leak coolant and raise the risk of an engine compartment fire; dealers replaced it. Certain trucks with a particular radio had software flaws that could let outsiders reach certain networked vehicle controls. On certain trucks with a column shifter, holding the brake pedal while parked could jam the shift interlock pin open, allowing the transmission out of park without the brake.
