Known issues on the 2016 4500. Seven recalls appear on the record for the 2016 4500. Certain 2016 Ram 4500 trucks built within a set window could have a transfer case whose main output shaft was misshapen during manufacture; a fractured shaft could cut drive power and keep the truck from holding in park. Dealers installed a new transfer case. Certain trucks with a column shifter could have their brake shift interlock stick open after long brake application in park. On certain others, cruise control might not disengage after a wiring short. One complaint was filed, under structure.
