Three separate recalls affect the rearview camera: incorrect central network software and, separately, incorrect instrument panel control module software could each delay or prevent the camera image from displaying, and a faulty camera cable connector could do the same, cutting the driver's view of what's behind the vehicle. Factory-fitted tires that were cured beyond specification could develop a sidewall break or belt separation, leading to a loss of vehicle control. A poorly bonded heating pad could let the side-view mirror glass detach, reducing visibility. A tie rod fastener issue could allow the brake master cylinder to separate from the booster assembly, cutting brake function. A cracked front passenger seat weight sensor could short-circuit and trigger the air bag to deploy unintentionally, covered in two related recalls. The in-tank fuel pump could fail and cause the engine to stall while driving. And the rear subframe could corrode at its suspension mounting points in a defined group of states, leading to rear suspension component failure and a loss of handling.
