Known issues on the 2019 Pilot. Thirteen recalls are on federal record for this model year. Three involve the instrument panel software, central network software, and a faulty MOST cable connector, any of which can delay or block the rearview camera image and reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle. Two cover the low-pressure fuel pump inside the tank, which can fail and stall the engine while driving. The hood latch striker can separate and let the hood open while driving, obstructing the driver's view. Tires cured too long during production can develop a sidewall break or belt separation, causing a loss of vehicle control. Incomplete welding of the front frame's upper members can leave the body less able to protect occupants in a crash, and a timing belt whose teeth separate can stall the engine outright. A center pillar trim clip with oversized mounting holes can interfere with the right-side curtain air bag during deployment, a cracked front passenger seat weight sensor can short and trigger unintended air bag deployment, a manufacturing defect in the connecting rod bearing can wear, seize, and damage the engine, and corrosion at the rear subframe's suspension mounting points can cause rear suspension failure and loss of handling.
