Known issues on the 2020 Outback. The 2020 Outback has 6 recalls. On certain 2020 Outback vehicles a transmission control unit programming fault could engage the clutch before the drive chain is fully clamped, letting the chain slip and break and cutting drive power. On certain others a cracked capacitor in the passenger seat's occupant detection sensors can short and keep the front passenger air bag from deploying. Certain cars may also have a missing or loose brake pedal bracket bolt that could let the mounting deform and reduce braking.
