2019 Volkswagen Jetta Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2019 Jetta. Eleven separate recalls cover the 2019 Jetta. Certain 2019 Jetta vehicles in GLI trim may have had front wheel bearings machined incorrectly, placing extra stress on the wheel, bolts and bearings; owners were told not to drive the car until the bearings, wheels and bolts were replaced. On certain cars with a conventional ignition switch, the switch could fail, shutting down the electrical system and stalling the engine. Another recall covered certain vehicles, 8 in total, whose instrument cluster might not sound a key-in-ignition chime. The 548 complaints center on the power train (162), electrical system (154) and engine (147); 19 reported a crash, 3 a fire and 23 an injury.
