Known issues on the 2013 Jetta. The 2013 Jetta appears in 6 recalls. Two concern certain 2013 Jetta vehicles in hybrid form with the seven-speed DSG: in one, hairline cracks in the gearbox's mechatronic unit could leak oil internally and drop pressure so the clutch would not engage, cutting drive power; in the other, affecting hybrids from a set build period, gearbox fluid additives could corrode the control module and cause a short and a stall-like loss of power. Certain cars built within a set production window could also have rear trailing arms weakened by earlier crash damage and prone to sudden fracture.
