Known issues on the 2007 Jetta. Federal records hold 4 recalls for the 2007 Jetta. Certain 2007 Jetta vehicles were modified during an internal evaluation period, which may have left them short of regulatory requirements; Volkswagen repurchased them. Certain cars with the inline-five might have a washer reservoir tab that could chafe a fuel supply line and cause a leak. On certain vehicles with a two-liter engine, screws on the driveshaft cover plate that might have been under-tightened could loosen until the shaft separated from the gearbox, damaging the housing. Of 201 complaints, the electrical system leads at 45 and hydraulic service brakes follow at 38; 11 reported a crash, 7 a fire and 13 an injury.
