Known issues on the 2006 Jetta. Four recalls were issued against the 2006 Jetta. Certain 2006 Jetta vehicles with the inline-five gasoline engine might have a small plastic tab on the washer fluid reservoir that could rub a hole in the underhood fuel supply line, a fire hazard near any ignition source; one such recall covered 58,900 vehicles, and dealers removed the tab and inspected the line. Certain cars also might have missing or misplaced caps on the headlamp aiming screws. Power train complaints lead the 580 on record at 245, followed by the electrical system at 112; 15 reported a crash, 6 a fire and 14 an injury. Transmission, fuel system and electrical procedures and diagnostics here apply.
