One did not come from Toyota at all: Fujian Wanda Automobile Glass Industry recalled aftermarket replacement windshields sold for use in 2014-2018 Highlander vehicles, filed under the electrical system, where ECM damage may result in the engine stalling, increasing the risk of a crash. The other two are Toyota campaigns on the gasoline fuel pump: one covers certain 2018-2019 Highlanders alongside other Toyota and Lexus models, the other certain 2017-2019 Highlanders alongside other Toyota models. On both, if the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 336 complaints for the year and Toyota has issued 138 technical service bulletins.
