The first covers the wheels: on sport utility vehicles equipped with five factory alloy wheels (model 6934 and 6936), factory LLAT and the port-installed WR4 four alloy wheel upgrade, the recall condition arises if the spare tire/wheel is installed on the vehicle using the wheel nuts provided for the upgrade. The second covers the door latches, specifically the child protection lock (CPL) system fitted to both rear side doors: when an operator closes the door very hard with the CPL lever set to lock, that condition could allow the door to be opened from the inside. Owners have filed 316 complaints for the year and Toyota has issued 66 technical service bulletins.
