The first is a vehicle speed control recall at the accelerator pedal: the accelerator pedal may temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position. The second covers the hydraulic brake master cylinder, where a leak of brake fluid could lead to a change in brake pedal feel. The third is filed under engine and engine cooling and concerns the belt for the power steering pump, which may become detached from the pulley. The fourth, issued by Gulf States Toyota, is an equipment labels recall for failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, Tire Selection and Rims; the labelling does not meet the standard requirements. The fifth, from Southeast Toyota Distributors, covers the front seat heater: if damaged, the copper strand heating element may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire. Owners have filed 289 complaints for the year and Toyota has issued 84 technical service bulletins.
