Known issues on the 2018 Sentra. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the back-up camera system: the display settings can be adjusted so the rear-view image no longer shows, and the system retains that setting the next time the vehicle is put in reverse, increasing the risk of a crash. The second covers the brake light switch, which can become contaminated and prevent the circuit from closing, so the brake lights fail to illuminate. Owners have filed 185 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you're troubleshooting a back-up camera fault or a brake light circuit, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2018 Sentra.
