2005 Nissan Sentra Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual is built around the 2005 Nissan Sentra as Nissan configured it that year, down to the 1.8L four-cylinder (QG18DE) and 2.5L four-cylinder (QR25DE) engines, so the torque values and diagnostic steps inside match your car instead of a generic Sentra-era approximation.

Known issues on the 2005 Sentra. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Four cover Takata front-passenger air bag inflators (one also covering driver-side replacement parts): propellant degradation after long-term exposure to high humidity and temperature can cause the inflator to explode on deployment, sending metal fragments into the driver or other occupants. One of those four covers inflators supplied as interim-repair parts that were later found to carry the same defect, and another covers replacement inflators supplied as theft or collision-repair parts. A fifth recall covers the crankshaft position sensor on 2.5L-equipped cars, which can overheat and briefly interrupt its signal to the engine control module, stalling the engine at low speed without warning. The sixth recall covers a fuel tank vapor hose that may not have been formed correctly during manufacturing, which can let fuel flow into the vapor canister until it fills and spills fuel onto the ground, risking fire near an ignition source. Owners have filed 170 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From tracing a stalling complaint back to the crankshaft position sensor to working through the air bag inflator inspection, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2005 Sentra.
