Known issues on the 2014 Sentra. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two cover the Occupant Classification System misclassifying the front passenger seat as empty when an adult is seated, which can deactivate the passenger air bag and raise injury risk in a crash. A related recall covers a deformed front passenger seat belt bracket that can cause the OCS to misread an installed child seat, leaving the front air bag active when it should be off. Another covers OCS control units installed during a prior repair that can incorrectly classify an occupied seat as empty. The last covers a manufacturing error in the passenger air bag inflator that can keep the air bag from deploying properly in a crash.
