Known issues on the 2018 Silverado 3500. Six recalls sit on the federal record. Two of them are a block heater cord and connection that can short-circuit, damaging what surrounds them and raising a fire risk. The fuel system supplies two more: a level sensor stuck low that lets one tank overfill the other against the driveshaft, and a rear tank that can collapse so the pump cannot move fuel forward, stalling the engine. A roof-rail air bag inflator can also lose its end cap, and front belt retractors were built with the wrong torsion bar. Complaints total 22, led by the engine at 4.
