This factory service and repair manual for the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 covers the truck in cab and chassis form, a two-door with no bed behind it, powered by the naturally aspirated 6.0L OHV V8 of 364 cubic inches and sold in Base trim. A chassis cab is bought to have something built onto it, so the frame, electrical and driveline material matters more than usual here, and it appears with the same procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics used for the rest of the truck.

Known issues on the 2011 Silverado 3500. Five recalls are recorded federally. On trucks with dual tanks, a sticking low fuel level sensor lets the rear tank overfill the front one until pressure swells the tank into the driveshaft and wears a hole in it. Two cover an air bag inflator that can burst and throw metal fragments at the occupants, and one an auxiliary battery fusible link that can melt into neighboring components. The last is a fire extinguisher that may not work. Of 104 complaints, 23 name air bags, 11 structure and 8 the power train.
