Known issues on the 2007 CTS. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. The fuel pump module's electrical terminals can overheat and melt the flange, letting fuel leak and causing a stall or, near an ignition source, a fire. A heavy key ring can rotate the ignition out of the run position, which can keep the air bags from deploying in a crash. The front passenger seat's sensing mat can flex and break its internal connections, disabling that passenger's air bag. Corrosion at the front brake hose-to-caliper fitting can let the hose rupture and lengthen stopping distance. The rear axle pinion seal can leak fluid and lead to a rear differential failure, with possible loss of motive power and control. And the power sunroof can close after the ignition is off and a door has been opened, which fails to meet the federal standard meant to prevent accidental closing injuries.
