2003 Cadillac CTS Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2003 Cadillac CTS is built around this exact model year, engine and trim combination, so the specifications, wiring diagrams and torque sequences it contains are the ones Cadillac published for the 3.2L V6 (VIN N) rather than a figure borrowed from an adjacent year.

Known issues on the 2003 CTS. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the ignition switch: weight on the key ring and road conditions can affect it, and if the key is not in the run position when the vehicle is involved in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of injury. The second covers the front brake hose-to-caliper fitting, which can corrode from snow or water carrying road salt and rupture suddenly, increasing stopping distance and the risk of a crash. The third covers the owner's manual itself, which does not explain the meaning of the location symbols for the child restraint lower universal anchorage system as required by federal safety standard No. 225. The fourth covers the intermediate steering shaft, where an improperly tightened bolt can loosen, separating the upper and lower steering shafts and causing a loss of vehicle control, with a crash possible without prior warning if this happens while driving. Owners have filed 321 complaints for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From a brake hose inspection to a steering shaft check or the ignition switch fix, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2003 CTS.
