Known issues on the 1998 Blazer. Three recalls appear federally. One is a slow failure with a fast ending: the right-hand rear axle brake pipe can fatigue-fracture, bleeding fluid gradually until the pedal goes soft and part of the braking is gone. Another has the right-hand lower control arm attaching nuts under-torqued, so the bolt can loosen, break and cost the driver control. The third covers daytime running lamps built outside the required brightness. Complaints total 782 and lean toward visibility at 218, with seats at 62 and power train at 60.
