Known issues on the 1996 Blazer. Eight recalls are recorded. Two of them concern the upper ball joints, which can wear in salted regions until steering is impaired or lost and the front suspension partly or wholly collapses. Another covers cracked solder joints on the wiper motor's controller board, leaving the wipers working intermittently or not at all in bad weather. A fourth involves outboard belt webbing that can separate, so a rolled or twice-struck vehicle offers no restraint. Complaints total 1,280: 443 brakes, 165 visibility, 148 suspension.
