Known issues on the 1995 Sentra. Seven recalls are on federal record for this model year. Four cover aftermarket combination corner, bumper, and headlamp assemblies sold as replacement parts for this vehicle that lack the required amber side reflectors, which can leave the car poorly illuminated and increase crash risk. One covers front coil springs that may lack sufficient corrosion resistance in regions where de-icing road salt is heavily used, so a spring that breaks and works loose from its lower seat could puncture the tire. One covers the anti-lock brake hydraulic actuator, which was not properly purged of air during the fill and evacuation process, letting air bubbles enter the brake system and increase pedal travel and stopping distances. One covers the windshield wiper linkage, where water can enter and displace the grease in the wiper arm linkage ball joint, leading to gradual wear and possible separation of the wiper linkage from the wiper motor linkage. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS) HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR WAS NOT PROPERLY PURGED OF ALL AIR DURING THE FILL AND EVACUATION PROCESS CAUSING AIR BUBBLES TO GET INTO THE BRAKE SYSTEM.
Consequence
THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE INCREASED BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL AND STOPPING DISTANCES.
Remedy

Remedy
TO PREVENT GREASE FROM BEING WASHED OUT OF THE JOINT, THE DEALERS WILL MODIFY BY ADDING A WATER DIVERSION SEAL THAT WILL PREVENT WATER FROM ENTERING THE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINKAGE BALL JOINT AREA.
