Known issues on the 1987 Sentra. One recall is on federal record for this model year, covering the front seat belt buckle assembly: the red plastic release buttons marked "PRESS" can break, and if a piece falls into the buckle it can keep the buckle from latching properly, leaving an occupant without adequate crash protection. Owners have filed 50 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged for it.
