A third covers the electric power steering system, where water may enter and a loss of power steering assist could increase steering effort at low vehicle speeds. A fourth covers the front lower suspension arms, which may have cracks; if a suspension control arm breaks, it can result in a loss of vehicle control. A fifth covers the back-up camera, which may not activate due to a damaged electrical connector. A sixth covers the engine and engine cooling system, where a coolant leak can cause the engine to overheat. The seventh covers the fuel pump: if the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 1,162 complaints for this model year, and Toyota has issued 245 technical service bulletins.
