The first covers the passenger-side frontal inflator module: an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. The second covers the driver-side frontal inflator module on RAV4s built May 13, 2003 through October 25, 2005, and applies in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag. The other two were issued by Southeast Toyota and Gulf States Toyota over labels that fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, Tire Selection and Rims: on the Southeast Toyota vehicles a driver may overload a vehicle, which may increase the risk of a crash, and on the Gulf States Toyota vehicles the label does not meet the standard requirements. Owners have logged 168 complaints against the 2005 RAV4, and 81 technical service bulletins have been issued for it.
