The 2019 Toyota Avalon was sold with one of two very different powertrains: the 2.5L hybrid four (A25A-FXS) or the 3.5L V6 (2GR-FKS). Which one is under the hood, and which of the seven trims the car left the line as, changes the specifications and the service sequences you work to, so the figures used here are the ones Toyota published for this model year and not ones carried across from an adjacent one.

Known issues on the 2019 Avalon. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two of them cover the same part, the fuel pump: if the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. They were filed separately, as 20V012000 and 20V682000, the latter a Toyota campaign that names the 2019-2020 Avalon directly. The third, 19V244000, came from Gulf States Toyota and concerns a vehicle label; if the driver cannot read the label, they may unknowingly overload the vehicle. Owners have filed 90 complaints against the 2019 Avalon, and 166 technical service bulletins have been issued for it.
From tracing an unexplained stall back to the fuel pump, to hybrid system service on a Hybrid XSE, to a scheduled interval on one of the V6 cars, the work is held to Toyota's own procedure and to the correct figure for this exact 2019 Avalon.
