Known issues on the 2014 Avalon. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first, 20V024000, is for the air bag / restraint control module and concerns air bags and/or seat belt pretensioners that do not deploy as intended in the event of a crash. The second, 15V728000, is for the crash imminent braking function of the forward collision avoidance system, where a vehicle that unexpectedly brakes increases the risk of a crash. Owners have submitted 123 complaints for this model year, and Toyota has issued 208 technical service bulletins.
