2019 Nissan Altima Service and Repair Manual
The 2019 Altima was built around two four-cylinders with little in common: the 2.0L KR20DDET, a variable compression turbo, and the naturally aspirated 2.5L PR25DD. Fuel delivery hardware, bearing design and torque figures diverge between them, and Nissan sold the car in eight trims that year, so the engine code and trim in front of you decide which specification applies rather than a close value borrowed from a neighboring model year.

Known issues on the 2019 Altima. Seven recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers Continental tires that were cured for too long during production, which may develop a break in the sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or belt edge separation that leads to tread and belt loss; either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control. Two separate campaigns cover fuel delivery: on front-wheel-drive 2.5 liter cars the fuel pump lock ring may not be fully engaged, possibly causing fuel to leak, and on a separate group of 2019 cars the retainer clip connecting the low pressure fuel tube to the high pressure fuel pump may not have been locked into position, so the tube can shift and cause a leak or fully disconnect and stall the engine. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. A fourth covers a brake switch bracket in the incorrect location that may cause the brake switch to remain on, leaving the brake lights illuminated when the brakes are not being pressed and allowing the transmission shift lever to be moved out of Park without the brake pedal being pressed, so the vehicle can roll unexpectedly. Two more cover the rearview camera: on one, the back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse, and the lack of an image in the display increases the risk of a crash; on the other, damage to the camera harness can cause distortion or loss of the rearview camera display image, reducing the driver's rear view. The seventh covers the 2.0L variable compression turbo engine, whose bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure, and a bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block that discharges hot oil, adding the risk of an engine fire. Owners have logged 229 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are on record. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From a fuel pump lock ring reseal to a rearview camera harness trace or a bearing inspection on the VC-Turbo, it holds you to Nissan's own procedure and the right specification for this 2019 Altima.
