Moisture entering the starter generator on the 2.0TFSI mild-hybrid system can cause a short circuit and increase the risk of fire. A passenger air bag with an incorrectly manufactured score line may fail to deploy properly and eject plastic debris into the cabin during a crash. A sticking fuel level sender can display an inaccurate fuel reading and lead to an unexpected engine stall. Liquid spilled in the rear seat can penetrate and shut down the gateway control module, suddenly cutting engine power. An incorrectly labeled brake fluid cap can result in the wrong brake fluid being used, reducing braking ability. A software error can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, in violation of federal rear-visibility standards. A related software error can leave the lane departure warning system deactivated without the driver's knowledge. Consequence
An incorrectly manufactured air bag may not deploy properly, and could also eject plastic debris into the passenger compartment, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy

Consequence
