Known issues on the 2013 A6 Quattro. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two cover the Passenger Occupant Detection System sensor mat in the front seat, which can malfunction and prevent the passenger air bag from deploying properly in a crash. Two more cover the electric coolant pump on 2.0L Turbo FSI engines, which can be blocked by cooling-system debris or short-circuited by moisture, overheating the pump and increasing the risk of a fire. The remaining two cover a fuel line and fuel hose in the engine compartment that can weaken or degrade and leak fuel in the presence of an ignition source.
