2018 Ford Mustang Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2018 Ford Mustang covers three DOHC gasoline engines: the naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 of 307 cubic inches, the turbocharged 2.3L inline-four and the naturally aspirated 5.2L V8 of 315 cubic inches. Seven trims are listed, EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, Shelby GT350, Shelby GT350R and V8, in two-door convertible and two-door coupe bodies. Each engine gets its own procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics, and the two V8s, which differ in displacement, are never treated as a single unit with two labels.

Known issues on the 2018 Mustang. Four recalls are on federal record, two of them rollaway risks. With the ignition off and the automatic transmission out of park, the instrument cluster may not show the gear position or warn the driver, and some ten-speed automatics were built without a roll pin and can lose the park function. A third covers aftermarket supercharger kits with badly made hose barb fittings that could damage the fuel lines. Owners have lodged 187 complaints with NHTSA, 44 each on the engine and the power train and 28 on the electrical system.
