Known issues on the 2013 Mustang. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Five are frontal air bag inflator recalls, passenger and driver side, factory and replacement, in which the inflator may explode on deployment and send sharp metal fragments into the cabin. The sixth is a transmission control module condition that can leave the automatic transmission unable to engage reverse. NHTSA's complaint count for the year stands at 271.
