2016 Ford Mustang Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2016 Ford Mustang is written for eight trims, Base, V6, EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT350R, offered as a two-door convertible or a two-door coupe. The four gasoline engines all use double overhead cams: a turbocharged 2.3L inline-four, a naturally aspirated 3.7L V6 of 227 cubic inches, a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 and a naturally aspirated 5.2L V8. Each engine's procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics stand alone, and the turbocharged four is documented with its own figures rather than as a variation on the V6.

Known issues on the 2016 Mustang. Five recalls are on federal record. Two concern the seat belts: belts and child seat tether anchors damaged in shipping that may not restrain an occupant, and front pretensioner cables that water and road salt can corrode until they break. Two more concern the rearview camera, with loose or damaged wiring and an image that may come up blank, distorted or inverted. Owners have logged 374 complaints with NHTSA, 68 on the electrical system, 57 on the engine and 38 on back over prevention.
