2005 Ford Mustang Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2005 Ford Mustang covers the two naturally aspirated gasoline engines of that year, the 4.6L SOHC V8 and the 4.0L SOHC V6 of 245 cubic inches, in four trims: Base, GT, GT Base and GT Equipado. The two-door convertible and the two-door coupe are both documented. Known issues on the 2005 Mustang. Eight recalls are on federal record, six for frontal air bags and two for aftermarket lamps. Driver and passenger inflators, including replacement parts fitted in collision repairs, may rupture on deployment and throw metal fragments at the occupants, the driver's dual-stage inflator being vulnerable to moisture; another recall concerns a neck-injury standard the passenger air bag failed for a small unbelted occupant seated fully forward. Owners have lodged 868 complaints with NHTSA, 276 of them on air bags, 248 on the electrical system and 77 on the fuel system.
