The first covers the fuel pump: particulates in the fuel can adhere to internal components and reduce pump performance, and reduced fuel pump performance can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. The second, a broader fuel pump campaign, covers failure of the pump inside the fuel tank, which can likewise stall the engine while driving. The third covers the front passenger air bag occupant classification sensor: the seat weight sensor can crack and short circuit, causing the air bag to deploy unintentionally during a crash.
