Most cover frontal air bag inflators, front and rear, where long-term exposure to heat and humidity can cause the inflator to rupture and send metal fragments into the driver or front passenger during deployment; related recalls address a passenger air bag installed incorrectly during replacement, a passenger air bag module that left the factory not meeting advanced air bag requirements, a driver seat position sensor wiring fault that can break the sensor circuit and force the air bag to full inflation pressure regardless of seat position, and a torn driver air bag fabric found on certain sedans. A power steering hose recall on V6 Accords warns that a deteriorated hose can leak fluid onto the hot catalytic converter and start an under-hood fire, and an automatic transmission recall flags countershaft and secondary shaft second-gear tooth chipping that can lead to transmission lockup. An aftermarket accelerator pedal assembly recall covers a rotating portion of the pedal that can bind and slow the engine's return to idle. Eight of the recalls are aftermarket exterior headlamp and corner lamp assemblies sold for this Accord; most lack the required amber side reflectors, and others were built with misaligned or distorted lenses.
