The largest cluster, seven recalls, covers driver- and passenger-side frontal air bag inflator modules that can rupture on deployment, sending metal fragments toward occupants. A separate cluster of eight recalls covers aftermarket exterior lighting assemblies sold for this vehicle: six are missing the required amber side reflectors, and two others involve misaligned lamps or a lens defect that changes turn-signal intensity, all reducing visibility to other drivers. Beyond those, individual recalls address a passenger air bag that may have been installed incorrectly and deploy improperly in a crash, a passenger air bag module assembled without meeting the required advanced air bag standards, an accelerator pedal that can bind and delay the engine's return to idle, an automatic transmission secondary shaft bearing that can break and either stall the engine or let the car roll after the shifter is placed in Park, a power steering hose that can deteriorate and leak fluid onto a hot catalytic converter, a main fuse box terminal that can loosen and cut power to the fuel pump causing a stall, a seat position sensor wiring harness that can break and force the driver's air bag to full inflation pressure regardless of seat position, a fuel pump relay coil wire that can break and stall the engine, and a driver's front air bag fabric that can tear and reduce crash protection.
