2014 GMC Yukon XL 1500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2014 GMC Yukon XL 1500 is built around two flex-fuel V8s, the 325-cubic-inch 5.3L and the 376-cubic-inch 6.2L, each naturally aspirated with overhead valves, in a single 4-door sport utility body offered as Denali, SLE or SLT. Coverage runs from engine mechanical work through transmission and driveline service to brakes, steering, suspension and the body electrical system, with the specifications and torque values printed alongside the procedures they belong to rather than gathered at the back.

Known issues on the 2014 Yukon XL 1500. Seventy-seven owner complaints are recorded with NHTSA for this model year. The largest group, 15, concerns the airbags; 11 concern the structure and five the electrical system. Diagnosis in each of those areas depends on the material here: the supplemental restraint circuit tests and component procedures, the body and frame repair specifications, and the wiring diagrams that show every circuit, connector and ground point in the sport utility body.
State Farm is investigating the accident to see what, if anything, malfunctioned in my braking system. I ran a red light but when I pressed the brake upon approach of the red light my brakes didn't catch and so when I pressed them, I kept going at the same speed. I was going between 30 and 40 miles per hour I believe. Three cars were involved. I have a sore neck, chest, and burn marks in my neck region. I suspect my truck will be totalled. We performed routine maintenance on the vehicle. It had a little over 100K miles on it at the time of this wreck. There is not a recall on braking for 20
I have an outstanding recall on my 2014 Yukon. This recall is several years old. As far as I can tell nothing has been done on this recall. This is a safety recall! Previously I owned a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban with the same recall on it. I was told that no parts were available for the repair. I repeat this is a SAFETY recall!!! We had a wreck in the 2008 chevrolet suburban which deployed the airbags. Lucky for us the airbag worked properly. My wife was setting in the front passenger seat. If the igniter had exploded she would have been seriously injured or killed. We bought this Yuk
I HAD A FRONT END COLLISION AT 25 MPH WITH A PARKED CAR. MY AIRBAG(S) DID NOT DEPLOY. THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF MY CAR WAS DESTROYED. THE HOOD WAS CRUMPLED AND BOTH FRONT QUARTER PANELS DAMAGED. THE FRONT DOORS ARE NOT EASILY OPENED DUE TO THE QUARTER PANEL DAMAGE. IT IS HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND HOW AN IMPACT AT THE SPEED I WAS TRAVELING AND THE LOCATION OF IMPACT DID NOT CAUSE THE AIRBAG(S) TO DEPLOY. I HAD TO BE TRANSPORTED VIA AMBULANCE FROM THE SCENE AND SUFFERED A CONCUSSION FROM MY HEAD SLAMMING DOWN ON THE STEERING WHEEL. *JS
The contact's wife owns a 2014 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that on several occasions, the vehicle failed to start with the key in the ignition. The failure persisted and a yellow anti-theft warning symbol was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that on one occasion the vehicle failed to start after several attempts and the contact became trapped inside the vehicle for approximately 5-6 minutes and was unable to unlock or open the doors. The contact attempted to use the remote and the key to unlock the doors but there was no electrical functions available. The contact st
WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME. UNINOW IF THIS IS RELATED TO THE BRAKE POTENTIAL RECALL BUT I HAVE NOTICED POTENTIAL STOPING DISTANCE CHANGES WHEN USING THE VEHICLE FOR LONG PERIODS I ASSUME IT IS JUST FROM USE. FIGURED THIS INFORMATION WOULD BE USEFUL WITH THE CURRENT INVESTIGATION
AFTER SWITCHING TO PASSING LANE AND SEEING TRAFFIC IN LANE AT STANDSTILL I SWIFTLY JAMMED ON BRAKE PEDAL. BRAKES FAILED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE STOPPING ABILITY AS THOUGH THEY WERE COATED WITH GREASE. DESPITE HAVING WELL IN EXCESS OF 100 FT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. REAR ENDED VEHICLE IN FRONT WITH ABOUT 12K IN DAMAGE TO FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ORIGINAL ROTORS AND PADS WERE REPLACED AFTER EXPERIENCING SEVERE BRAKE FADING WHEN HOT PRIOR TO ACCIDENT. DRILLED AND SLOTTED RACING ROTORS WERE INSTALLED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND PLACED BACK ON THE ROAD, I TESTED WITH TH
While driving the vehicle it randomly looses engine function decreasing speed rapidly. The check engine light comes on and it says engine power reduced along with traction-off and stabilitrak- off. There was a safety recall 14V-614 that pertains to the chassis electronic module. I have had multiple shops look at the problem the last being a GMC dealer who replaced the accelerator pedal for the 2nd time but did not fix the issue. This issue began in early 2024 and vehicle has sat in driveway not being driven every since.
