Known issues on the 2009 Sebring. Two recalls apply to the 2009 Sebring, and both could leave the car without power on the road. On certain 2009 Sebring vehicles with the 2.4L engine, a mismatch between instrument cluster software and the fuel pump module could let the gauge read higher than the actual level, so the car could run dry; dealers replaced the fuel pump module. On certain 2009 Sebring vehicles, an adhesive used in the powertrain control module could crack its circuit board and stall the engine. Of 45 complaints, 3 reported a crash, 5 an injury and 1 a fire.
