Known issues on the 2004 Sebring. Three recalls are on the federal record for the 2004 Sebring. On certain 2004 Sebring convertibles, the left rear seat belt retractor bolt may have been left loose, so a rear passenger might not be held properly in a crash; the recall covered 312 vehicles, and dealers tightened the bolt. Certain 2-door 2004 Sebring vehicles, 8,108 of them, received a fuel pump whose return fitting may have been poorly molded and could break, leaking fuel that could catch fire; dealers replaced the pump. Of 292 owner complaints, engine and engine cooling leads with 68; 27 reported a crash, 23 an injury, 21 a fire and 1 a death.
