Known issues on the 1998 Sebring. Recall campaigns filed for the 1998 Sebring number four. On certain cars, the dash panel pad could move and get in the way of the throttle cable, so the throttle might not close when released; the recall covered 27527 vehicles, and dealers trimmed the pad clear. Certain cars may also have front lower lateral arm ball joints with damaged boots, which could let the joint corrode and separate. The floor shifter interlock on certain cars could fail and let the car roll. Structure leads the 319 complaints at 72, ahead of hydraulic service brakes at 38; 36 complaints reported a crash, 6 a fire, 22 an injury and 1 a death.
