2008 Ford F-750 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2008 Ford F-750 has four turbocharged diesels on its list, the 5.9L, 7.2L and 6.7L inline-sixes and the 6.0L V8, in a straight truck built as a two-door long conventional or a four-door extended or crew cab, with Base the only trim. All three of the year's recalls involve fuel delivery, so the fuel system procedures, specifications, torque values and diagnostics carry more weight here than usual, next to the engine and chassis coverage.

Known issues on the 2008 F-750. Three recalls are on federal record, all on trucks with Caterpillar diesel engines and all about fuel. A cracked fuel pump outlet check plug can let fuel spray and leak; the number five and six fuel lines can crack where they fasten to the common rail and leak as well, and either leak near an ignition source risks a fire. A fuel pump failure can also dilute the engine oil with fuel, take out the turbocharger and cost throttle control. One owner complaint is logged with NHTSA. Fuel line routing, pump service and the related torque values are the pages involved.
